Thailand Cable TV Association was formed in 1983 by the traders from all over Thailand. Due to at that time some television producers was affected by television business wiping out policy by Ministry of Interior which has General Sitti Jiraroj in charge of the minister,in addition to be criticized that television business was illicit and harmed the security of country because there was not the law which supports cable TV business. The business expanded to many cities, so they gathered to form cable TV society. Then they requested to form Cable TV association (Thailand) on December 22nd ,1993. They altered the name to “Thailand Cable TV Association” on May 16th,2002.
